Amy Miller is a highly motivated, high energy, well-rounded senior level public affairs professional that has a reputation for developing and implementing strategies that help build and enhance relationships and communicate key messages.
With more than 20 years of experience in the business and nonprofit world in management level positions, Amy provides her expertise to organizations on strategic planning and project management, stakeholder engagement and government relations, communications planning and issues management, and outreach strategies and training. She has extensive experience in the energy and environmental areas.
Throughout her career, Amy has developed strategic plans, managed budgets and led high performing teams. Her significant communications experience includes wide ranging speaking and presentation experience to management level individuals in business, non-profit and government sectors and coaching executives on key message delivery. In all her role, Amy managed staff and complex budgets, worked with internal and external policies, and built relationships and partnerships outside the organization.
Amy was recently recognized as a 2023 Woman of Influence by the Albuquerque Business First and was also one of three individuals who received the 2022 Champion for Public Health and the Environment Award from the State of New Mexico.
Amy has participated in leadership development programs and held leadership positions in various organizations in New Mexico. She has graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of New Mexico, is a graduate of Leadership New Mexico, Leadership Albuquerque the University of Idaho Utility Executive Course, and the University of Minnesota at Duluth Basic Economic Development Course. Amy holds a national Accreditation in Public Relations from the Public Relations Society of America. She currently serves as the president of the UNM Alumni Association board and as vice president. She previously served as the chairperson for the City of Albuquerque Energy Council and the chairperson for the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Authority Technical Customer Advisory Committee. She also served on a legislative Clean Energy Task Force, which made clean energy policy recommendations to the New Mexico legislature.
